How I can help

These apply to both the Southern and Northern accents!

  • All most of us really want is to be able to better communicate with family, order food, get around in the streets of Vietnam, the list goes on.. I feel you! It’s the useful stuff.

Well, I got myself there and I know we can get you there too!

  • Reading and writing may not be as important to you as speaking and that’s totally fair..

..but if you’re someone who interacts with family or relatives over text or social media, it may be more useful than you think! It also really comes in handy for reading signs, food menus, etc., especially if there aren’t English translations.

  • Learning grammar can be a real turn-off, but that’s mostly because of how it’s taught in formal classroom settings.

The way that we’ll approach it may not even count as learning grammar, but that’s the whole point in my opinion. We can ignore the useless stuff and focus on what you actually need to achieve your language goals. If anything comes up later, we can handle it then!

Vocabulary is the same — we focus on what you want to know, and pick up more as they show up along the way!

  • It’s important to put in at least a little bit of time outside lessons to practice and I emphasize that from personal experience.

I know how hard that can be though, especially with work or school. Luckily, I have some tricks up my sleeve that I’m happy to share, and help figure out what else might work for you too!
